Geoffrey E. Budden B.A. (Honors) LLB.

At the beginning of his career Geoff focused his practice on family law and criminal law. As an Agent for the Attorney General of Newfoundland he appeared in Court, as a prosecutor, throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and also had an extensive defence practice.

In the mid-1990’s Geoff began to focus on his civil litigation practice, including personal injury law and, particularly, representing victims of institutional and other forms of abuse with claims for compensation.

Geoff resides in St. John’s and has been involved in many community activities. He has been a board member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Human Rights Association since 1989 and has served in many executive positions including chairperson. He served on the St. John’s Regional Library Board from 1991 through 1996 and served as vice-chair for one term. He was also a trustee of the Avalon East School Board (February 1998 – September 2001) and served in the executive positions of secretary and vice-chair.
